First, I am very lucky that I'm alive during the release of this The flash new trailer. What a time to be alive. I'm not going to leave any detail in this breakdown of this trailer. I can't believe DC is going to reboot it's legacy after using it up. It's a very sad thing. 

The first official trailer of The Flash has been released. And it's too awesome.So awesome that I feel like DC should charge us for showing this trailer.

This is called perfection. However, it's also true the mystery that fans had in mind for Flash movie, Major part of that mystery has been shown in the trailer. I mean people who have a idea about the source book of this movie They will know what's gonna happen just by seeing a single frame. 

What are the things different from source material, And how awesome is them being different.  So now let's start the breakdown. I'm going to breakdown the awesome trailer of The Flash. Keeping heart wrecking and Earth shaking spoilers aside Let's start. 

From last few months Warner Bros is in turmoil. A weird reboot is about to occur.  Which is not a blanket reboot. Even after Ezra Miller's doings he is being treated lovingly. And passionate people like Zack Snyder and Henry Cavill are being sidelined. Now I understand why it's happening. The trailer 100% confirms The Flash is going to be awesome.  

So first I would like to tell you the source story of it. 

We know Barry can time travel. He wants to save his mother by traveling to the past. Because of this not only his mother will live, But also his father won't go to jail. Whom police took in for the murder of Barry's mother Nora Allen. So Barry travels time. Saves his mother.  Because of this literally, everything changes in the present.  And the result is Flashpoint Paradox. Bruce Wayne is not Batman.  Superman never came to the public. And Aquaman and Wonder Woman are in a world war.

There is no Justice League. Even Flash don't have his powers. But not everything is happening here which happened in comics. And it makes a lot of sense. DC is using DCEU journey to make sense out of it. Which is a good thing. But what changed here? But 

DC what didn't change. 

• Flash is going back in time- check. 
• Flash will save his mother- check. 
• Flash won't have his powers - check. 
• And something bad is going to happen to this world- check. 
• And to avoid that from happening Barry needs Batman - check. 

DC what changed here?

That world war event has changed to Zod attacking Earth. Which we saw in Man of Steel. But because of the manipulating time, Supergirl reached Earth earlier than Superman. In comics technically Supergirl was supposed to reach Earth first. But because of some problems, she comes after Superman.  

Supergirl is one to save world from World Engine. Just like how Superman did. And so Flash and Batman went to free Kara Zor-El from military base. And you might ask how they are there and not free yet. In comics Superman was captured soon after reaching Earth. That's how Kara is also captured. 

Did you know?

Let's look at it shot by shot. There are so many things and I don't want to miss any. In the first shot we can see Barry coming to his house after traveling time. Either Barry has rectified everything. Or he is about to rectify everything. Basically in comics, Reverse Flash kills Barry's mother. Police can't figure out who killed her. So they take in Dr. Henry Allen who was present at the scene.

This things motivates Barry to become a forensic expert. So that he can solve the mystery. But due to a lightening striking his lab, And coming in contact with nearby chemicals, Barry becomes a spedster. Not just any other spedster but the fastest man alive.  This is all to the story. Here Barry will save his mother. And nothing will be the same. 

And here Michael Keaton's Batman is asking Barry,Can he go into any timeline and any universe? So why he want to save this universe.  Because this is the universe in which his mother is alive.  So basically to maintain a change in time, due to time traveling Barry is participating in other changes. 

We can see in trailer Batman's cowl nearby which is blood. This is clearly Michael Keaton's Batman's cowl. Who will probably be very hurt after this fight. We can see our Batman here. Giving full Christian Bale's Batmobile vibe. 

We can also spot the new suit of Flash. 

With new shoes. My shoes can go to hell I need these now. We can also see someone turning on or turning off a switch.  Probably Barry is turning off the red lights glowing in Kara's room. Later we saw blast and we can also see Kara flying. And we can see Barry time traveling here. We also see the sequence of death of Nora Allen. We can probably see Barry going back in time through this portal. Here Henry Allen is being played by Ron Livingston. Whereas first it was played by Billy Crudup. 

After the title card we are probably seeing Barry coming back to his time. Because here weather is turning quickly. And the day becomes night. He can see in the pictures that his mother is alive and his family happy. And he is meeting his mother. And he is meeting his this universe version. This is a little strange. Because in comics when Barry comes back in time He don't have any other version. And he comes in his own place. But here DC is using Marvel's variants concept.  Plus in this timeline Barry's clothes give Reverse Flash vibes. 

This is only mystery about this movie. 

Who is the Reverse Flash here? 

• Barry is shocked to see another Barry. 

And why won't be be?

Firstly Ezra Miller himself is scared of Ezra Miller. Secondly is I see another version of me Then I'll run so fast that even Flash can't catch me. So the second Barry takes Flash to the Wayne Manor.  He obviously know that Batman lives here.  And if someone can help him then it's him.  Before meeting Batman let's talk about this scene. Because Barry has changed everything, So he don't have his powers.  And if don't have his powers he can't change things by time traveling. 

So what do he have to do in order to regain powers?

He have to replicate the environment in which he got powers. That's why Barry is getting electrocuted, And to deliver the bolt Batman's Batmobile is helping him. But the things to ponder is that both Barry are getting superpowers with the same bolt. Plus in comics Barry did not got his powers with the first bolt. Because of which he had to get electrocuted for second time. And looking at Barry's face it looks like he is taking electric bolt for second time. Then we can see Flash's iconic ring. In comics whenever Flash had to change clothes to become superhero, He used to get his suit from his ring and wear it. 

This means Flash is changing his clothes at light speed, And most probably Superman can see him doing this.  My god. So in the ring, the clothes are compressed. The folded parts are giving Flash the lightning effect. This is so cool.  And here in the background, Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne, Is explaining to Barry that manipulating time is dangerous.  But whom does Barry ever listen to?  He doesn't even listen to the police.  That's why there's a big mess.  We can see Zod attacking Earth in another world.  Seeing  Michael Shannon in this avatar again is so satisfying.  Plus World Engine is also here. So the universe is about to be destroyed.  And the invasion has started. 

So now there is a need of an alien who can stop the World Engine. And that alien is Kara Zor-El. Whom Barry is going to free. And another things is said about this that this universe don't have any meta humans. This also makes sense. Because of Superman Trinity came to form.  And with Superman's death Mother Box got activated.  And many superheroes came in to being. And now that Superman is not here Steppenwolf did not receive message to attack Earth. And here we meet Kara. Whom military has detained. And without sun she's powerless. 

That's why her condition is like this. And it feels like this is Jotunheim. Which we saw in Suicide Squad. DC is conveniently using Zack Snyder's vision And his built legacy. This is a very sad thing.  This trailer feels so awesome and it was possible because Story of Man of Steel, His World Engine action, And look-alike Superman suit.  And in the background Batman VS Superman and Synder Cut logic is being used.  If this becomes superhit which seems it is DC has to thank Zack Snyder for this. After seeing Kara we can see Barry holding hand of electrocuted Barry. 

Here is the introduced of Batman. Obviously Michael Keaton's Batman here. But it does not feel like he is Bruce Wayne.  Think of it if the World Engine events are occurring now Batman should not be that old.  Plus if director Andrés Muschietti is showing Ben Affleck's Batman for emotional angle, Then source book Flashpoint's emotional angle should be shown.  In which insted of Bruce Wayne's parents, Bruce dies.  And Thomas Wayne becomes the Batman.  After the events of Flashpoint ends Then Thomas Wayne gives letter to Barry to give his son in another Earth. 

This is the emotional angle of Flashpoint. This triggers Doomsday Clock.  Later we can see Batman's action and Zod's destruction.  We can also see Ben Affleck's Batman's action.  Seeing the trailer one thing's clear, This movie will be filled with awesome action sequences.  That's what I always say if DC rely on it's own iconic stories more It's result will always be amazing.  Later we see Sasha Calle's Supergirl saving Barry.  Later Barry is traveling time between World Engine destruction And end of world to go back in time.  Probably to be responsible for his mother's death.  So that everything becomes normal.  This is the Flashpoint Paradox.  Flash's biggest reason of sorrow. In the next shot Micheal Keaton is telling the world why he can pull Batman avatar easily. Plus we can see two Flashs in action. 

Because two Flashs got their superpowers. Supergirl is decimating Zod's army.  But keep in mind she's not that strong.  This may be possible that she can't stop the World Engine.  After this we see ultimate Flash action.  For which we have been waiting for years.  Batmobile is amazing here.  And so it Ben Affleck's new suit.  We will know this logic in movie itself.  Another Barry is probably attacking Zod. The shot when Kara comes to save Batman and Barry, This should have been saved for picture hall. I think the good shots which are surprising 

They should be left for halls. So they can be fully savored.  But the shot is definitely satisfying.  You know even DC were to show Henry Cavill as a weak Superman, Then also it won't be a problem.  On the contrary the environment would have been better but this is also amazing.  And the fun take at the end is also fun.  This is called a perfect DC project, With a perfect storyline. 

The tweaks here are amazing. The action is fabulous.  But the trailer was a bit revealing. But our breakdown was much more revealing. But it was fun doing it. To increase the excitement I would like you to read Flashpoint Paradox, Or you can also watch it's animated movie.  You'll enjoy the both of it.
